In 2011, Brian and his family resigned from [[University Bible Fellowship]], a Korean campus Bible cult, and began expressing this twenty four year journey in books and blogs. In 2013, Brian was trained in the VantagePoint3 Leadership program at a local church. In 2014, Brian participated in the ACT3 Missional-Ecumenism Cohort where he learned from John H. Armstrong. In 2015, Brian was chosen to join the Reformation Project Leadership Cohort in Washington D.C., led by Matthew Vines.
